Privacy Policy
The Monster Geography is an iOS-first classroom and family geography game. Live room coordination uses a custom backend, while child progress, Parent Portal summaries, and gameplay analytics are designed to stay on the device.
What This App Is
The Monster Geography is designed for classroom play, family play, and local practice. It includes live classroom sessions, audience or projector mode, local practice mode, and a local-only Parent Portal for grown-ups using the device.
What Stays On The Device
- Local child and account data. Player progress, local account information, settings, and everyday gameplay data are designed to stay on the device being used.
- Local-only analytics. Gameplay analytics and parent-facing progress summaries are designed to stay on the device and are not used for third-party tracking or advertising.
- Parent Portal data. The Parent Portal is local-only. Its summaries and progress views are designed to reflect data stored on that device rather than a cloud profile for advertising or tracking.
- Hosted classroom analytics. When a live classroom session is hosted from a device, the hosted classroom analytics belong to the active local account on that hosting device.
What Uses The Live Session Backend
The app uses a custom backend at monster-geography-api.n8v.dev for live session coordination only.
- It may process session-related data needed to create, join, run, and coordinate live multiplayer or classroom sessions, such as room state, join codes, participant lists, buzz order, scoring state, and round updates.
- It is not used as a third-party ad network, a tracking system, or a general-purpose analytics platform for the app.
- Child progress, parent-facing summaries, and local gameplay analytics are designed to remain on device instead of becoming a cloud-based behavior profile.
What The App Does Not Use
- No ads.
- No sale of personal data.
- No third-party tracking.
- No Firebase.
Maps And Mapbox
The app uses Mapbox for map rendering. Mapbox telemetry is disabled during app startup.
Support Emails From Grown-Ups
If a parent, teacher, or other grown-up emails support@n8v.dev, we may use the information they choose to send, such as an email address, device details, app version, screenshots, or a description of the issue, so we can answer the support request and troubleshoot the problem.
We do not ask children to contact support directly. If support is needed, a grown-up should reach out for them.
Retention And Deletion
Because gameplay progress, Parent Portal summaries, and local account data are designed to stay on the device, deleting the app or removing the local data or account data on the device is the main way to remove that information from that device.
Live session coordination data is separate from those on-device records and is used to run shared rooms rather than build advertising or tracking profiles. If a grown-up has questions about live session data connected to classroom coordination, they can contact support@n8v.dev.
Children's Privacy
The Monster Geography is built for classroom and family use, so we approach child privacy conservatively. The app is designed so that child progress, local analytics, and Parent Portal summaries stay on device whenever possible, with backend use limited to live session coordination rather than advertising, profiling, or third-party tracking.
